How to Navigate the Budget Planner

The Budget Planner is designed to help you allocate your recruitment budget, ensuring resources are directed where they are needed most. Here’s a step-by-step guide to using the Budget Planner effectively:

The tool is updated daily and leverages historical data to provide real-time insights into your recruitment spending. By comparing past and current job openings, the Budget Planner ensures that your budget recommendations remain accurate and relevant.

Accessing and Filtering Job Data

The Planner allows you to tailor budget recommendations according to your recruitment goals. By default, the target number of applications per job reflects the historical average for that position. To adjust the desired number of candidates for specific roles or filtered groups of roles, simply enter your preferred application count, and the Planner will automatically update the suggested budget.

With filtering options, you can refine your focus by job type, region, or category, offering a more targeted and efficient approach to budget allocation. This enables greater precision in managing recruitment resources.

Available Budget vs Recommended Budget

When you first open the Budget Planner, you will see a summary of your current recruitment budget, which includes:

  • Your Budget: The average spending over the last three months.
  • Committed Budget: The amount allocated to active campaigns.
  • Recommended Budget: The budget Talentify suggests to achieve your recruitment goals based on historical data and job performance.

This summary gives you an overview of your budget usage and where adjustments may be necessary. It's essential to continuously monitor whether increasing the budget improves results or if other strategies are required due to market conditions.

Job Types Distribution

To optimize budget allocation, this section categorizes open positions into four groups:

  1. Sponsored High Performers: Jobs that historically perform well with budget allocation and typically have a low cost-per-application (CPA).
  2. Attention-Required Jobs: Positions that need closer attention due to higher CPAs or may not get the desired number of candidates.
  3. Organic High Performers: Jobs that perform well with a minimal budget, often due to high candidate interest or low competition.
  4. Challenging Markets: Positions in regions or sectors that have historically struggled to attract candidates, often requiring a higher CPA or more targeted budget allocation.

This categorization helps you determine where to increase or reduce the budget to meet recruitment goals efficiently.

Recommended Budget by Standard Job Function

This section breaks down recommended spending by job function, allowing you to see how much of the budget is suggested for each role type. This helps ensure that the allocation is aligned with recruitment needs and can highlight areas where resources may need to be redistributed.

Recommended Budget by State

The Planner also offers insights into how much of the budget is recommended for each state, ensuring your spending is geographically aligned with recruitment demands. This feature lets you focus on regions with higher recruitment activity or challenges.

Recommended Budget by Division

This segment provides a breakdown of allocations across organizational divisions to refine your budget strategy further. This visualization helps ensure each division receives the necessary budget to meet its recruitment goals.

Recommended Budget by Recruiter

In cases where multiple recruiters manage different areas or job functions, this section provides a detailed view of how the budget is allocated and recommended per recruiter. This ensures that each recruiter has the resources to achieve their hiring targets.

Recommended Budget by Standard Job Title

This section shows the recommended budget allocation by specific job titles, offering a clear understanding of where resources are being directed and how much is suggested for various roles within the organization.

After that, you can access detailed information on Job Types Distribution (Sponsored High Performers, Attention-Required Jobs, Organic High Performers, Challenging Markets), including specific details like date posted, average applications, target applications, estimated CPA, recommended budget, and recommendation confidence.
